Purpose-Built Mounting for the RED1 Platform
The SM-1 Swivel Mount is designed specifically to support Sierra’s RED1 explosion-proof flame detector in demanding industrial environments. Proper positioning is critical for flame detection performance, especially in refineries, petrochemical facilities, munitions plants, and other hazardous locations where the RED1 is typically deployed.
The SM-1 allows installers to align the detector’s field of view accurately while maintaining a secure mechanical connection. Once positioned, the mount locks firmly in place to withstand vibration, environmental stress, and long-term industrial use.
Adjustable, Secure, and Installation-Friendly
The SM-1 gives installers flexibility during setup without sacrificing stability. The swivel design allows fine-tuned angle adjustment so the RED1 can be aimed precisely at potential ignition sources or high-risk areas.
After alignment, the clamp assembly tension screw secures the detector in position, helping ensure that the viewing angle remains stable over time. This is especially important in environments where equipment vibration or structural movement could otherwise shift a fixed mount.
