(DCR1-AT1)

DCR1 Self-Test With FEP Cable

Chemical-resistant flame detection with built-in verification and enhanced cable durability.

Detection You Can Verify in Harsh Environments

The DCR1-AT1 adds both automated optical self-test and FEP jacketed cable to the standard DCR1 platform. Detection performance, housing, and approvals are identical to the base DCR1.

This configuration is selected when detectors are installed in locations with limited physical access, when cable routing passes through chemically aggressive zones, or when facility specifications require both automated verification and chemical resistance at every connection point.

The DCR1-AT1 does not include enhanced relay connections.

Key Features

  • Automated Optical Self-Test: Periodically verifies sensor and optical window integrity. Faults reported via relay output and LED indication.

  • FEP Jacketed Cable: 22 AWG, 14-conductor cable resistant to acids, solvents, and aggressive cleaning agents. Factory installed.

  • UV/IR Multi-Spectrum Sensing: UV (185–260 nm) and IR (0.715–3.5 µm) sensors. Calibrated to detect a 4-inch IPA fire at 10 feet on axis within 3 seconds.

  • Chemical-Resistant Housing: Factory-sealed FRPP with sapphire windows. IP67 rated. UL 94 V0 flammability rated.

Confirm DCR1-AT1 Alignment With Your Application

If your project requires automated self-test with FEP cable but not enhanced relay outputs, Sierra can help confirm the DCR1-AT1 is the right configuration.

The Engineering Behind the DCR1-AT1

The DCR1-AT1 uses the same multi-spectrum UV/IR detection algorithm as every DCR1 model. The self-test function periodically verifies the optical path and sensors without requiring physical access, while internal diagnostics monitor voltage, sensor health, relay integrity, and temperature.

The FEP cable extends chemical resistance from the housing through the full cable run: protecting against degradation from persistent vapor exposure or aggressive cleaning cycles.

What Sets Sierra Apart

Sierra Safety Technology has manufactured flame detection equipment for nearly 40 years with zero product recalls and zero failures resulting in loss of life. DCR1 detectors continue to deliver reliable service in semiconductor fabs and chemical plants where corrosive exposure is constant and manual access is limited.

Specialized Applications Across Sectors

Semiconductor

Enclosed fabrication tools and wet benches where detector access is restricted and cable routing passes through corrosive zones.

Chemical

Processing equipment where automated health verification and FEP cable protection are both required by facility specifications.

Oil & Gas

Corrosive process equipment where self-test supports compliance and FEP cable extends service intervals.
