(DCR1-S1)
Reliable flame detection for corrosive environments without added integration complexity.
The DCR1-S1 is the standard configuration within the DCR1 product line. It delivers UV/IR flame detection inside a sealed, IP67-rated polypropylene housing with sapphire windows — designed to operate reliably where acids, solvents, and corrosive agents are part of normal operation.
This is the core DCR1 platform without optional FEP cable or optical self-test. Class 1 Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, T4.
If your project requires chemical resistance without FEP cabling or automated self-test, Sierra can help confirm the DCR1-S1 is the right configuration.
Wet benches, gas cabinets, and enclosed fabrication tools where hydrofluoric acid and other corrosives are present.
Processing equipment handling volatile organic compounds, acids, and solvents in enclosed or semi-enclosed environments.
Corrosive process equipment within refineries and production facilities requiring Class 1 Div 2 rated detection.

What makes the DCR1-S1 different from other DCR1 models?
The DCR1-S1 is the standard configuration — no FEP cable, no optical self-test. It provides the core chemical-resistant detection platform for applications that don’t require enhanced cabling or automated testing.
What chemicals is the DCR1 housing resistant to?
The FRPP housing and sapphire windows are resistant to most acids and solvents, including hydrofluoric acid. Contact Sierra for compatibility with specific chemical environments.
Can the DCR1-S1 be installed inside semiconductor tools?
Yes. The DCR1-S1 is commonly deployed inside semiconductor manufacturing equipment, wet benches, and other enclosed process areas.
Is the DCR1-S1 approved for hazardous locations?
Yes. Class 1 Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, T4. Also Class 1 Zone 2.
What is the operating temperature range?
Operating: −40°C to +85°C. Humidity: up to 90%.
What are the dimensions and how is it wired?
Housing dimensions are 3.4 × 4.2 × 1.0 inches. Relay outputs rated 1.0 A at 30 VDC resistive. Input voltage 12–32 VDC (typically 24 VDC).
