Dcr1 S1 Standard Config

(DCR1-S1)

The Standard DCR1

Reliable flame detection for corrosive environments without added integration complexity.

Built for Chemically Aggressive Applications

The DCR1-S1 is the standard configuration within the DCR1 product line. It delivers UV/IR flame detection inside a sealed, IP67-rated polypropylene housing with sapphire windows — designed to operate reliably where acids, solvents, and corrosive agents are part of normal operation.

This is the core DCR1 platform without optional FEP cable or optical self-test. Class 1 Division 2, Groups A, B, C, D, T4.

Key Features

  • UV/IR Multi-Spectrum Sensing: UV and IR sensors calibrated to detect a 4-inch IPA fire at 10 feet on axis within 3 seconds.

  • 120° Conical FOV: Wide field of view for coverage inside enclosed tools and process areas.

  • Chemical-Resistant Housing: Factory-sealed FRPP housing with sapphire windows. Resistant to most acids and solvents.

  • Inside-the-Process Placement: Designed for installation inside semiconductor tools, gas cabinets, wet benches, and more.

Confirm DCR1-S1 Alignment With Your Application

If your project requires chemical resistance without FEP cabling or automated self-test, Sierra can help confirm the DCR1-S1 is the right configuration.

The Engineering Behind the DCR1-S1

The DCR1-S1 uses the same multi-spectrum detection algorithm as the rest of the DCR1 family, evaluating UV and IR energy to differentiate real flame signatures from common false sources. The internal microprocessor analyzes intensity values, rate of change, frequency distribution, and cross-spectrum relationships before declaring an alarm.

The DCR1-S1 is frequently installed inside the process equipment itself. Its sealed polypropylene housing and sapphire windows survive direct exposure to chemicals that would corrode traditional metal enclosures, making it the standard choice for semiconductor wet benches and chemical processing tools.

What Sets Sierra Apart

Sierra Safety Technology has manufactured flame detection equipment for nearly 40 years with zero product recalls and zero failures resulting in loss of life. DCR1 detectors deployed in semiconductor fabs and chemical plants continue to deliver reliable service in environments where chemical exposure is constant.
