Dcr1 Cs1 Standard Config

(DCR1-CT1)

The DCR1 Self-Test with FEP Cable & Enhance Relay Connections

Maximum durability and integration flexibility within the DCR1 platform.

The Most Complete DCR1 Configuration

The DCR1-CT1 combines every enhancement available in the DCR1 family: automated optical self-test, FEP jacketed cable, and expanded relay connections: in a single factory-built unit.

This configuration is selected when the application requires chemical resistance at every connection point, automated verification of detector health, and separate Fire, Verify Fire, and Fault relay outputs for multi-layer control system integration.

  • Automated Optical Self-Test: Periodically verifies sensor and optical window integrity. Faults reported via relay output and LED indication.

  • Enhanced Relay Connections: Fire Relay (N.O. or N.C.), Verify Fire Relay, and Fault Relay outputs. Verify Fire energizes independently.

  • FEP Jacketed Cable: 22 AWG, 14-conductor cable resistant to acids, solvents, and aggressive cleaning agents. Factory installed.

  • Chemical-Resistant Housing: Factory-sealed FRPP with sapphire windows. IP67 rated. UL 94 V0 flammability rated.

Let’s Confirm the Right Configuration

If your project requires the full DCR1 feature set—self-test, FEP cable, and enhanced relays— Sierra can help confirm the CT1 aligns with your control architecture.

The Engineering Behind the DCR1-CT1

The DCR1-CT1 uses the same multi-spectrum UV/IR detection algorithm as every DCR1 model. Self-test periodically verifies the optical path without physical access, while the Verify Fire Relay provides a separate output for tiered alarm or interlock systems. FEP cable extends chemical resistance from the housing through the full cable run.

What Sets Sierra Apart

Sierra Safety Technology has manufactured flame detection equipment for nearly 40 years with zero product recalls and zero failures resulting in loss of life. The DCR1-CT1 is the most capable configuration in the DCR1 line: built for facilities where chemical exposure, limited access, and complex control integration all converge.

Frequently Asked Questions

The DCR1-CT1 includes all three DCR1 enhancements: automated optical self-test, FEP jacketed cable, and enhanced relay connections (Verify Fire and Fault). No other DCR1 configuration combines all three.

Fire Relay (N.O. or N.C.), Verify Fire Relay, and Fault Relay. The Verify Fire Relay energizes independently when verified fire conditions are met.

The DCR1-CS1 has FEP cable and enhanced relays but no self-test. The DCR1-CT1 adds automated optical self-test to that same configuration.
