Dcr1 Cs1 Standard Config

(DCR1-CS1)

The DCR1 Standard with FEP Cable & Enhanced Relay Connections

Chemical-resistant flame detection with enhanced relay flexibility for complex industrial systems.

Offering Expanded Integration for Corrosive Environments

The DCR1-CS1 adds both FEP jacketed cable and enhanced relay connections to the standard DCR1 platform. Detection performance, housing, and approvals are identical to the base DCR1.

This configuration is selected when the control system requires separate Fire, Verify Fire, and Fault relay outputs, when cable routing passes through chemically aggressive zones, or when a facility needs full chemical resistance and advanced signaling without optical self-test.

Key Features

  • Enhanced Relay Connections: Fire Relay (N.O. or N.C.), Verify Fire Relay, and Fault Relay outputs. Supports latching and non-latching.

  • FEP Jacketed Cable: 22 AWG, 14-conductor cable resistant to acids, solvents, and aggressive cleaning agents. Factory installed.

  • UV/IR Multi-Spectrum Sensing: UV (185–260 nm) and IR (0.715–3.5 µm) sensors. Detect a 4-inch IPA fire at 12 feet on axis within 3 seconds.

  • Chemical-Resistant Housing: Factory-sealed FRPP with sapphire windows. IP67 rated. UL 94 V0 flammability rated.

Let’s Confirm the Right Configuration

If your project calls for both chemical-resistant cabling and expanded relay functionality, we can review the application and make sure the DCR1-CS1 aligns with your system requirements.

The Engineering Behind the DCR1-CS1

The DCR1-CS1 uses the same multi-spectrum UV/IR detection algorithm and continuous fault diagnostics as every DCR1 model. What it adds is relay depth and cable durability.

For facilities that need their flame detectors to interface with multi-layer safety systems while surviving persistent chemical exposure, the CS1 delivers both without external hardware or modifications.

What Sets Sierra Apart

Sierra Safety Technology has manufactured flame detection equipment for nearly 40 years with zero product recalls and zero failures resulting in loss of life. DCR1 detectors continue to deliver reliable service in semiconductor fabs and chemical plants where corrosive exposure is constant and control system integration is non-negotiable.
