The DCR1: Your Chemical-Resistant Flame Detector
Delivering reliable indoor flame detection systems for chemically-aggressive environments.
Delivering reliable indoor flame detection systems for chemically-aggressive environments.
The DCR1 series is purpose-built for applications where exposure to acids, solvents, and corrosive chemicals is unavoidable. Featuring a sealed, IP67-rated housing and materials selected specifically for chemical resistance, DCR1 detectors are designed to operate reliably in environments that degrade or destroy traditional metal-housed detectors.
DCR1 detectors are commonly deployed inside equipment, enclosures, and process areas where chemical exposure is continuous and failure is not an option.
The DCR1 product line includes multiple configurations designed to support different testing requirements, cabling needs, and system architectures.
The DCR1-S1 is the standard configuration for chemical-resistant flame detection applications. It is a reliable UV/IR flame detector for corrosive environments where chemical exposure is present but specialized cabling or testing features are not required.
The DCR1-AS1 builds on the standard configuration by adding FEP cable, providing enhanced resistance to harsh chemicals and aggressive cleaning agents. This configuration is selected when cable exposure is a concern and additional protection is required.
The DCR1-CS1 includes both FEP cable and enhanced relay connections, offering greater flexibility for system integration and signal handling. This configuration is commonly used in applications that require additional relay functionality.
The DCR1-T1 incorporates automated self-testing for applications that require continuous verification of detector functionality. This configuration supports facilities where routine manual testing is impractical or where automated diagnostics are preferred.
The DCR1-AT1 combines automated self-testing with FEP cable protection, making it well suited for chemically-aggressive environments where both diagnostic capability and cable durability are required.
The DCR1-CT1 is the most fully-featured configuration in the DCR1 lineup. It combines automated self-testing, FEP cable protection, and enhanced relay connections to support complex installations in highly corrosive environments.

DCR1 detectors are engineered for applications where reliability over time matters as much as initial performance. Chemical-resistant materials and sealed construction support consistent operation in environments with ongoing exposure to corrosive agents.
This approach reduces maintenance demands and supports long-term system stability.
The DCR1 series is commonly deployed in environments where chemical exposure and process integrity are critical, including semiconductor flame detection, oil & gas processing, chemical plants, and more. Learn more about how we serve those facilities below.
